I found a rather illuminating story at the Daily Caller yesterday involving that "free-speech" hero of the National Football League, Colin Kaeperrick, the opening sentence of which was:
Really? I'll be damned. I find it interesting that an NFL quarterback could be sacked that many times without being able to generate any offense at all. The story went on: (italics mine)
I should like to point out that Mr. Kaeperrick has declared he is merely invoking his 1st Amendment right of free speech and the San Francisco 49ers and the NFL's pussy commissioner Roger Goodell are going along with that fiction.
"Fiction" you ask? Of course. the NFL, which is positively draconian in their demands regarding what players can say, do, or wear is being particularly linguine-spined about this issue.
But back to the story, what do those 5 sacks say to you? Hmmm? I mean, have the 49ers particularly suffered a systemic quarterback sack problem OR is this a recent, a very recent development? Could it be a way of the 49ers players suggesting (in no unsubtle terms) they don't approve of Kaeperrick's public pronouncements and pregame antics? I think so.
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick took more sacks Saturday afternoon than he had passing yards against the Chicago Bears.

Kaepernick, who has supported dictator Fidel Castro, finished with a total of four passing yards before being benched in favor of the backup after taking five sacks for a loss of 25 yards. The dual-threat quarterback, who also refuses to stand for the national anthem, finished with one completion on five attempts.
