I'm guessing that did not survive the earthquake. Oddly enough that photo is of the "Cliff House" which survived the 1906 earthquake but which was destroyed in a fire in 1907. According to this Wikipedia article, it was one of 5 incarnations.

If you have ever seen an electric lamp from from the early 20th century, you might have noticed that the cord was two wires, wrapped in paper, and stuffed into a cloth tube. There was no such thing as plastic, and no solution for insulating wires outside.
